My involvement with repatriation work has strengthened my personal initiative to civically make a difference for the benefit of others. I firmly believe it is important to continuously learn about diverse cultures and peoples, recognize that I have privilege, and consciously choose to take action and make decisions that benefit the greater good. Nevertheless, these initiatives are irrelevant unless I authentically commit to them in all aspects of life.
I am actively working to learn how I can be better equipped to serve others and support diverse, ethical actions. Authenticity is exceptionally important to me in civic and community-engaged work.
